The Faith

Hebrews 3:1 says , "Holdfast the confession of our faith...". For the Christian this is "The Faith of Jesus" given to the original Apostles and handed down through the centuries. This confession of "The Faith"(which the creed is also known as) began as the Apostles Creed(used at baptisms and in worship) and was later expanded and encapsulated in the Nicene-Constantinople Creed when the Church articulated Christian doctrine to defeat the heresies concerning the nature of God and Jesus.
